Aniimo Guide

Core system

Twining: become your Aniimo

The signature transformation system. Twin with a squad member to borrow its movement, its element and a faster combat tempo — and to reach the half of Idyll that walking never will.

What Twining changes

Twining transforms you into your active Aniimo. Each species Twines differently: you inherit its traversal powers — climbing, gliding, diving, elemental manipulation — on top of a boosted combat form. The form you keep in slot one is also the movement you live with.

Combat in Twine form

Your Twine moveset chains faster and builds Break harder than the rider kit. Learn each form's combo rotation and you open punish windows the normal kit can't — which feeds directly into capture odds and boss guard breaks.

The four travel abilities — and what they unlock

Half of Idyll's regions gate on a Twine travel ability. Unlock the ability, unlock the region — this is the map between them.

Swim

3 regions

Opens coastlines and marshland — the wet quarter of the map stays locked until a swim-capable Twine form joins your roster.

Climb

2 regions

Scales cliffs and canyon walls. Volcanic and alpine regions hide their sanctuaries and bosses on vertical routes.

Glide

1 region

Turns heights into distance — cross gorges and reach floating landmarks without stamina cost.

Endurance

4 regions

Extends how long any traversal form can be held. The late-game regions chain long swims, climbs and glides together.

Which forms to invest in

A practical split: keep one Twine form for movement you've upgraded for the regions in your current level band, and one for combat whose combo rotation you actually like. Which creatures carry the strongest kits is tracked on the tier list, and the level bands themselves are laid out in the leveling route.
