Quick-start guide: your first hour in Idyll
Create your Wayfarer, pick the right starter for your playstyle, and spend day one on the rewards that actually compound — capture, Twining and the free rares.
Your first hour, minute by minute
0–10 min · Create and tune your Wayfarer
Character creation is cosmetic — no stat consequences. Pick the look you can live with; gear and builds come from your Aniimo, not your body.
10–25 min · Choose your starter
Lunara or Helion (compared below). Both carry the early game; neither is a trap pick, so choose the playstyle you enjoy.
25–40 min · Clear the Sunrise Meadows tutorial sanctuaries
The opening sanctuaries teach capture, Twining and Break — the three systems everything else is built on. Skipping them costs you later.
40–60 min · Round out the squad
Catch a Milglo for healing and a BudClaw for Break coverage before leaving the starting fields. A three-role squad beats one overlevelled starter.
Pick your starter: Lunara vs Helion
The classic openers. Lunara is safe ranged sustain — its Sun-Touched passive boosts damage in clear weather, and Holy pairs well into the early areas. Helion is a Fire brawler with the heavier Ultimate (160 power) that shreds the Gorge's Grass-types, but it needs positioning to survive. Both sit in T1 on the current tier list.

What to hold onto in week one
Banks start thin. Rare Anipods and stamina are the two resources beginners drain fastest — hold them for spawns that deserve the spend instead of dumping everything on the first uncommon you meet. Run your odds through the capture calculator before committing a crafted pod.
