Aniimo Guide

Game guide

What is Aniimo?

A free-to-play open-world creature-collecting ARPG from Pawprint Studio, launching September 16 2026 on PC and consoles and September 23 on mobile.

Aniimo blends creature collecting with real-time action combat and a cozy homestead loop. Instead of turn-based menus, you fight alongside your Aniimo — or become one — while exploring the open continent of Idyll, solving shrine puzzles and running a mobile farm out of your RV.

The game at a glance

You play a Wayfarer roaming the open continent of Idyll, befriending, catching and evolving creatures called Aniimo across 9 elements — Fire, Water, Wind, Grass, Rock, Ice, Electric, Dark and Holy. The world spans 17 regions, each with its own biome, spawns, resources and points of interest.

The loop is three-stranded: exploration (Sanctuaries, Bloom Branches and Lumens collectibles), combat (Trainer and Twine forms against Alpha and Omega bosses), and homesteading (farming, crafting and dispatching Aniimo on jobs from your RV). Co-op squad play and competitive PvP round out the endgame.

Aniimo launched September 16, 2026 at 10:00 UTC+8 on Steam, Epic, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — including Xbox cloud gaming — with the iOS and Android release following on September 23. Pre-download opened September 14 on PC, PS5 and Xbox so players could jump in at server opening.
