Capture & the Anipod types
Every Anipod, what it multiplies, and the sneaking and Breaking tricks that make catches stick. Stack your odds instead of relying on pod power alone.
The 8 Anipod types
Anipods come in a ladder of catch multipliers. Lower tiers suit Common spawns; the Sparkling Cube is reserved for the rarest prizes.
| Anipod | Multiplier tier | Best used on |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Lowest | Common spawns — the workhorse for everyday catches. |
| Pro | Low | A step up for tougher commons and early rares. |
| Mega | Low–mid | Raises the odds on healthier and mid-tier targets. |
| Hyper | Mid | A strong, flexible multiplier for most wild encounters. |
| Trace | Mid–high | Sharpened for evasive or fast-moving creatures. |
| Tumbler | High | A heavy pod for resilient and guarded foes. |
| Ultra | High | Top-tier multiplier for the toughest ordinary catches. |
| Sparkling Cube | Highest | Built for Perfects and Sparkling variants. |
Multipliers stack independently
A sneaking approach, a sleep status and a full BREAK gauge each bring their own multiplier, and they multiply together. A sleeping, stealthed, fully-Broken target caught with a basic pod beats a bare Hyper pod thrown at a fresh foe.
Stack every condition you can before you throw. Order matters less than layering — each status is a separate factor on the same catch.
Sneaking is a multiplier too
Approaching while sneaking avoids spooking the target and contributes its own bonus on top of sleep and Break. Chain a stealthy approach into a break and a status for the effective catch.
Break, then pitch
Weaken the creature, then break it. Throw only when the ring is tight — a precise throw lands the pod where it counts and realises the stacked multiplier.
Craft the pod you need, mid-hunt
Anipods are gained by crafting and by earning them. Hoard the materials for the pod you need rather than spending them freely, so you are never out of the right pod when a rare spawn shows up.
Legendary captures are crafted
Legendary catching is rebuilt around a crafted Legendary Anipod rather than random drops. Prepare the recipe before you seek a legendary.
Weak first, then break
Damage opens the window. Hit hard to lower the target, then apply Break and status before committing the throw.
Tight ring, correct tier
Match the pod to the target. Don't waste a Sparkling Cube or Ultra on a Common when a Basic pod plus stacked status already seals it.
