Roguelike
Hollow Battle Interlink
A roguelike survival gauntlet of escalating waves with big endgame payouts.
Hollow Battle Interlink is Aniimo's roguelike mode: escalating waves of enemies, layering modifiers, and upgrade pickups between rounds that decide whether your run scales or stalls. It is also the main source of the endgame's upgrade currencies.
How a run works
Each wave layers tougher enemies and modifiers on the last. Between waves you pick upgrades; those choices, not your squad's raw power, decide how deep the run goes. A run that patches its weaknesses every round outlives one that only stacks damage.
Upgrade strategy
- Spend early pickups on the role that carries your run — usually your Breaker or main DPS.
- Shore up the weak spot by mid-run: no sustain means a late-wave wall, however big your damage is.
- Read the wave modifiers before choosing; the right upgrade against tonight's modifier beats the generally-strong one.
Rewards
Clears pay Star Essence and Prismatic Stones, the currencies behind key endgame upgrades and gear. Depth pays out better than repeated shallow clears, so a run that goes three waves deeper is worth more than restarting for a perfect opening.
Solo vs squad
- Solo favours self-sufficient squads: a Heal anchor and your own Breaker.
- Squads can specialise — one player per role — but must coordinate upgrade picks so the team scales together.
